SOUTHERN REAL ESTATE’S PARENT BOUGHT

Founded in 1889, Southern Real Estate, Charlotte's oldest locally based commercial real estate firm, just expanded its horizons. Its parent, NAI Global has been acquired by Irving, Texas-based C-III Capital Partners. (Terms were not disclosed.) The transaction will help create a ?fully integrated? CRE services company that will operate in markets around the world, Southern Real Estate's Roger Cobb tells us. ?This helps us from a personnel basis and a technology basis.? C-III, through 350 worldwide affiliates, provides primary and special-loan servicing, loan origination, fund management, CDO management, principal investment, title services, and multifamily property management.
