If you're going to burn off those calories, a new gym uptown (with the help of Johnson & Wales culinary students) is happy to show you how to replace them with healthy alternatives. Flex + Fit recently opened its first health club location in Charlotte, taking 10k SF in the 54-story Duke Energy Center at 550 S Tryon Street. Flex + Fit features an on-site instructional kitchen. Local chefs and Johnson & Wales students will gather to teach Flex + Fit members how to prepare quick, healthy, and, most importantly, tasty meals. Flex + Fit, brainchild of Shama Patel, also has replaced traditional fitness equipment with four state-of-the-art studios: yoga, group exercise, interactive spin, and personal training. The health club will offer a multitude of fitness classes including hot yoga, spin, ballet barre, and air yoga. (Is  air guitar  exercise?)
