Clubs? Check. Golf balls? Check. St. John Properties delivering a multi-use spec development on a former Carroll County golf course? Double check.
Yesterday, the developer announced it finished work on Phase 1 of Liberty Exchange Business Community, delivering 16k SF of retail, a 25k SF office building, and a 61k SF R&D project, all spec. It's the company's first foray into Carroll County, with the 40-acre site (once home to Freedom Golf Center) eventually holding 215k SF in 10 buildings. The good news keeps coming: yesterday Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland also announced it's leasing 12k SF at the office building, opening an 11-physician practice there this summer. Plans are underway for Phase 2, which includes a 66k SF R&D facility and another 25k SF office building.
