75 Years!

We went to The Madison hotel recently to celebrate 75 years since Willy Walker's (second from right) grandfather and great uncle founded Walker & Dunlop. It's been in business as long as the Golden Gate Bridge has existed. On the left is Willy's father and former chairman and CEO Mallory Walker, who spent his entire career growing the enterprise. Mallory made the wise decision in '88 to enter the Fannie Mae DUS biz, allowing a small, thinly capitalized company to compete with the country's largest financial services firms. And in the past 25 years, Walker & Dunlop has provided billions to the multifamily industry. (Say hi to Tyler Blue and Howard Smith, too!)
