THE MIDTOWN TEASE

Yesterday, we strolled past 12th & Midtown, where STK, a chic steak restaurant from the Meatpacking District of New York, is teasing Atlanta Midtowners with its big red signs. STK, which also has locations in LA and Miami, plans to take  12K SF  on  two levels at the base of 1075 Peachtree office tower. The idea is to replace the overly male ambience at most steak houses (no offense, Bones) with a more trendy, female-friendly vibe. (May we suggest a name change: Sex and the Sirloin.) We called the New York HQ and were told Atlanta is scheduled to open in early 2011.
