REZNICK TAPS TWO BROKERAGES

Reznick Group's Wes Hudson (here with Tvsdesign's Stephanie Belcher) made a startling revelation at our event this morning. With four years left on its lease, the accounting firm is in the market for potential new office space using not one but two different brokerage firms. Wes was moderating this morning's Bisnow ?How Goes Midtown?? Breakfast & Schmooze at the Georgia Tech Conference Center. The two firms are: Gregg Metcalf and Brannan Moss  at JLL and  Carl Mullis and Bill Kilborn at CBRE. Wes says Reznick is leaning heavily toward the Buckhead submarket, moving away from its current home at 2002 Perimeter Summit in Central Perimeter, where it uses 88K SF, although a renewal is still on the table. Bill also says the firm is seeking between 70K and 100K SF and that rates in Buckhead ?are pretty attractive to them.? Aside from rate, he says Buckhead could offer them better amenities  and potential employee appeal: "They also feel like a Buckhead location could assist them in continuing to attract top-level accounting talent versus a Central Perimeter locale."

Our event highlighted the views and comments about Midtown from Dewberry Capital's John Dewberry, Jamestown's Matt Bronfman, Hines' Kurt Hartman, Daniel Corp.'s Steve Baile, JLL's Brad Armstrong,  and Seyfarth Shaw's Carl Westmoreland. We'll highlight full coverage in tomorrow's edition.
