| Bisnow Chicago held its seventh Breakfast & Schmooze panel last Thursday, this one on sustainability in real estate, at the Metropolitan Club on the 66th floor of Willis Tower. Panelists including Mesirow's Erik Pampel, Goby's Chris Happ, JLL's Helee Hillman, and HJKessler's Helen Kessler suggested that ROI on energy-efficient building elements can be achieved in less than a year, although it only costs 1-6% more. The next trend will be buildings counting carbon emissions like dieters count calories, Erik said. |
