CBRE Expands PropTech Offerings With Mainstream Software Acquisition

CBRE Group has added another platform to its arsenal of property management software with its recent acquisiton of Mainstream Software Inc.

Mainstream offers mobile and software-as-a-service technology for management operations that support more than 90,000 users, many of which include CBRE business partners, the firm announced Tuesday. CBRE chief digital and technology officer Chandra Dhandapani said the deal will allow the company to operate more efficiently and help clients achieve better outcomes.

This deal follows moves the firm has made earlier this year to enhance its property management tech capabilities. CBRE improved the property management platforms on two of its major systems, PULSE and Aspire, Real Estate Tech News reports. The two systems enable users to access property and portfolio data all from the same platform and from any device. The goal is to cut down the time users spend searching for data across multiple platforms. CBRE’s acquisition of Mainstream suggests the company is continuing that push to optimize its technological service offerings.
