444 Was Just Enough

Los Angeles Retail

Demonstrating the adage that no one succeeds without effort, CBRE distributed more than 444 offering memoranda to find a buyer for Maywood Village Square, a 48k SF retail center on Slauson Ave in the City of Maywood. SVP Phil Voorhees, who calls Maywood Square the “quintessential" LA County bread-and-butter strip center, completed the property's $11.5M sale with colleagues Jimmy Slusher and the National Retail Investment Group-West, along with managing director Richard Rizika. The marketing effort generated 17 purchase offers. The CBRE team repped the buyer as well as seller Watt Companies, which developed the project in 1991.
