If your company is looking for a Merchandise Mart address, Motorola Mobility can help you. The company is reducing its footprint in the building for the third time in nearly a year.

Motorola Mobility retained JLL to market over 113k SF on the 17th floor, according to Crain's. The company previously struck sublease deals with Velocity EHS for 90k SF, and Beam Suntory agreed to sublease 112k SF. Given the Mart's status as a marquee tech office asset, there will most certainly be companies interested in making a move.

Motorola Mobility has been shedding office footprint rapidly since Lenovo bought the company from Google two years ago, just as Motorola was moving into the Mart. The company originally occupied 604k SF. If this latest chunk is fully subleased, Motorola Mobility's footprint inside the Mart would encompass 287k SF. Each reduction in footprint followed announcements of job cuts by Lenovo. Most recently, Lenovo announced it would eliminate 1,000 jobs, although it's unknown how many of those are in Chicago.
