It's "a dream realized" for Andy, whose family and in-laws are fromMiami. (His wife, former deputy USTRSusan Esserman, chairs Steptoe's international department in DC and sits on its executive committee.) He's setting up a South Florida practice byjoining top lit boutiqueCoffey Burlington as a partner. In DC, he'll keep practicing and serving existing clients by opening theLaw Offices of Andrew Marks PLLC, which will be a "subtenant" of Crowell & Moring, where he's spent the past 26 years. To avoid client conflicts, Andy's teaming with the firm as a strategic partner on new and pending matters. We snappedhim flanked by two fellow former DC Bar presidents: Brown Rudnick's Mark Tuohey and Arnold & Porter's Robert Weiner.

Carolyn was DC Bar president the year before Andy, so they worked closely; more recently, she also served as ABA president. We snapped her with her husband, Morgan Lewis'sPeter Halle.

When it comes to law firm chairmen, the more the merrier: Crowell & Moring chair Kent Gardiner and Zuckerman Spaeder chair Graeme Bush. The event was also an excuse to check out a new restaurant, Frederik De Pue's Azur. It opens to the public on April 18, although our DiningBisnow publication has apreviewthis week.

(Will it stay now that he left for hearings back in Florida? Judging by today's rain, the sun flew out with him.) He's withCrowell senior partnerStu Newberger, DLA Piper partner and former US Attorney for DC (and the firstWatergate prosecutor)Earl Silbert, Crowell partnerPhil Inglima andinternational dispute resolution group chairGeorge Ruttinger, and DC AGIrv Nathan.

Azur executive chef and owner (and Andy and Susan's longtime friend)Frederik De Pue made a quick appearance from the second floor open kitchen, above which we hear is a raw bar. The Penn Quarter restaurant in Cafe Atlantico's former spot at 405 8th St is Frederik's second in DC, following the recently-opened Table.
