This was the scene in Denver this morning, with Mayor Michael Hancock speaking to over 350 at the Four Seasons for our Bisnow State of the Market event. We took a crowd vote and the consensus is that the Denver commercial real estate economy is back to a 7 or 8 (with 2007 being a 10 and 2009 being a 1).

Hello to former Transwestern DC prez Tom Nordlinger from his son-in-law Brad Cohen, in investment sales out here at Transwestern. Brad met Tom's daughter 14 years ago and notwithstanding the delights of Bethesda, they chose to settle in the Mile High City. (Or should we not be using that moniker anymore, folks?)

We also ran in to DC real estate titan Jim Coakley's Denver-based older brother Peter, who says, "Shape up, Jim."

And Kevin Ott (right, with Bisnow's Mike Jax) who opened DC-based HITT's Denver office in 2011. We felt right at home.
