Valor Development Planning Five-Story Mixed-Use In Dupont Circle

Placeholder

Valor Development has plans for a mixed-use development at the site of some existing historic buildings in Dupont Circle.

The developer has filed plans with the BZA to transform the existing buildings at 2147 and 2149 P St NW into a five-story, mixed-use development. The buildings are historic, and Valor has already had some talks with the Historic Preservation Office to make the project a reality, Urban Turf reports.

Valor’s proposal would preserve the façade and sides of the existing three-story structure, and see the construction of an addition that would add two new levels. The project is slated to include eight residential units upon completion, as well as over 2,700 SF of street-level retail.

If given the green light, this will be the latest redevelopment project to enter the Dupont Circle pipeline. Last year, SB-Urban secured funding for the transformation of the Patterson Mansion into micro units, while Akridge scooped up the YMCA on Rhode Island Avenue NW with an eye towards redeveloping the property. [UT]
