Basketball Coaching Legend Gets Roasted

Placeholder

College basketball legend Gary Williams was roasted last week, all in the name of raising money for DC kids. The annual event, hosted by ESPN commentator Michael Wilbon and sportscaster James Brown, raised nearly $300k for DC-CAP, a nonprofit that helps DC public and charter high school students prepare for, enroll in and graduate from college. (Monumental Sports & Entertainment CEO Ted Leonsis is its new board chair.) The barbs came from sports reporters Chick Hernandez and former players and assistant coaches. The fourth annual event drew about 500 people.
