6 Office Projects That Are Rockin' the Toronto Suburbs

While downtown seems to get all the attention when it comes to new office projects, there’s plenty of exciting action farther afield in the GTA. Here are six developments bringing buzz to the burbs.

1. Gateway Meadowvale

Location: 2777 & 2727 Meadowpine Blvd, Mississauga

Developer: Carttera Private Equities

Size: 270k SF in two office buildings on a 12.5-acre site.

Buzz: A spec build, Gateway Meadowvale is the third office project Carttera’s done in Meadowvale; it also developed 7110 West Credit Ave and 1919 Minnesota Ct, DuPont Canada's HQ. Both were NAIOP Office Developments of the Year.

2. KPMG Tower

Location: Highway 400 and Highway 407, Vaughan

Developer: SmartREIT

Size: 15-storey building with 300k SF of office, 65k SF of retail/amenities.

Buzz: First building in a 100-acre plan that calls for 10M SF of res, 4M SF of office and 2M SF of retail. The building will have direct underground connection to a new TTC subway station and York Region Rapid Transit bus terminal.
