Harkins Builders at 50

On May 21, Harkins Builders celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore. More than 200 guests, including employees, longtime clients, architects, former executives and other Harkins friends gathered to celebrate 50 years of pre-construction, construction and design-build excellence in the Mid-Atlantic region. Here's Mike Gill, Maryland Secretary of Business and Economic Development, presenting a governor's citation expressing the state's appreciation and good wishes. Accepting the citation are Harkins Builders president and CEO Dick Lombardo, CFO Gary Garofalo, and senior VP of preconstruction services Larry Kraemer. Harkins Builders acknowledged all of the people who have contributed to the company’s success, and shared plans for how it would continue to grow and prosper.

A&R Development’s Blanche and Theo Rodgers also attended, seen here with Dick Lombardo. Howard County executive Allan Kittleman presented an executive proclamation declaring May 21, 2015, as Harkins Builders Day in Howard County, MD, where the company has its HQ. The cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception included signature red Harkintinis, a cigar bar and live music. For more info on our Bisnow partner, click here.
