Amazon Comes To Music City: Don't Miss Bisnow's Nashville State Of The Market

The brightest minds in Music City real estate will discuss Amazon's impending arrival at Bisnow's Nashville State of the Market July 18 at the Omni Hotel Nashville. Panelists include Holly Sullivan, head of worldwide economic development at Amazon, and Jeff Hite of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as lenders and developers from across the Nashville area. Register here for the event.

Back in November, Amazon made a splash when it announced it would bring 5,000 high-paying jobs to Nashville as part of an Operations Center of Excellence. Though Amazon ended up choosing Northern Virginia for its 25,000-job second headquarters, the investment it is planning for Tennessee's capital is still set to reshape the city.

The company has just signed a 20-year lease at Nashville Yards, a 15-acre mixed-use development on the western edge of downtown Nashville, where it will occupy 566K SF in a 20-story building. Amazon will also have the option to expand its lease if the Seattle-based tech giant decides to grow its footprint in the city further.

Though the numbers are not final, Amazon is planning for a $230M investment in its new location and estimates that it will bring $1B of incremental tax revenue to the city over the next 10 years. The company's arrival could shift the city's center of gravity west and change the face of Nashville's corporate world.

At Bisnow's Nashville State of the Market July 18, Holly Sulllivan, Amazon's head of worldwide economic development, will talk about the new center with Jeff Hite, senior vice president of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. This will be the first time Sullivan will be discussing the project on the scene in Nashville. Dean Stratouly, CEO of The Congress Group and Dan Bauchiero, principal at Eakin Partners, will also discuss the future of the city, along with other experts.

The event will give attendees a unique look at how they can get ahead in one of the most exciting markets in the nation. There’s time set aside for networking, too. Grab a spot while they’re still available.
