Orchard Partners Finalizes 31K SF Lease At Its Milpitas R&D/Office Campus

Orchard Partners has secured another lease at its 47-acre Tasman Tech campus. The 31,165 SF lease with tech company Barco is for the entire building at 1421 McCarthy Blvd. in Milpitas. Barco will join Advanced Energy Industries, which recently leased 25K SF at 888 Tasman Drive.

Recent renovations of the building include incorporating contemporary design elements and 10-foot ceilings. The building has outdoor amenity spaces with eco-friendly landscaping and outdoor gathering areas.

Barco is a global tech company that designs and develops networked visualization projects for entertainment, enterprise and healthcare markets. The company will move from its office in Fremont into Tasman Tech.

Colliers International Senior Vice Presidents Terry Bell and Joe Elliott represented Barco. CBRE Senior Vice Presidents Bob Steinbock and Sherman Chan represented Orchard Partners.

The project team includes Studio G Architects, HMH Landscape Architects and Southbay Construction.

Tasman Tech is a 14-building complex with over 609K SF of office. Orchard Partners acquired the campus in 2014 from Lionstone Investments. Since then, the landlord has completed interior and exterior renovations. Additional enhancements will include an on-site food offering, a fitness center and a bike-sharing program, Orchard Partners Managing Partner Mike Biggar said.

The campus currently has up to 225K SF available.
