Iron Construction
As it plans a move back to San Jose, where the company started, Iron Construction has sold its Sunnyvale HQ for an undisclosed amount.
The general contractor sold the Class-A office building at 270 E Caribbean Dr in Sunnyvale's Moffett Business Park last week to Walnut Hill Capital. Iron Construction purchased the 27k SF building in 2012, converted the property (including making it zero landfill, using geothermal energy and with drought-friendly landscaping) and moved in in early 2014. The building has 5k SF of warehouse, a fitness and training center, a full-service kitchen and a community garden.
Iron Construction will remain as a tenant until it moves to San Jose later this year. San Jose CBRE EVP Jefrey Henderson repped the buyer.
