Placeholder

San Francisco officials aren’t going to make things easy if Trump Hotels plans to expand into San Francisco, one of 26 cities on the company's list. Several supervisors have already come out against the expansion, news that comes on the heels of President Donald Trump vowing to cut federal funding to sanctuary cities, which include San Francisco.

Supervisor Mark Farrell told KPIX 5 news projects big and small are rejected all the time over far less controversy. Farrell even called Trump Hotels “ugly and gaudy,” adding “why would we want that in San Francisco?”

San Francisco is extremely tough for any hotel as a high barrier-to-entry market with limited land available. [KPIX5]
