Raiders Staying In Oakland... At Least For One Season

Placeholder

The Oakland Raiders plan to stay in Oakland for at least one more season, having agreed to a one-year lease extension at O.co Coliseum.

The lease is for 2016, with options for 2017 and 2018. The current lease was set to expire Feb. 17. The Raiders hired Larry MacNeil, former CFO and EVP for the San Francisco 49ers, to lead their stadium negotiations, according to ESPN.

Where the Raiders would land after losing a bid to move to Los Angeles has been a matter of much speculation, and a trip to Las Vegas. The team still could move, perhaps to Los Angeles, if the San Diego Chargers don't move there to share the new Inglewood stadium with the LA Rams. [ESPN]
