Renovate America's new creative office space in Rancho Bernardo. The company's amenities include providing employees breakfast and lunch.

Locally based Renovate America, a company that helps homeowners make qualified home energy and efficiency improvements, is reinventing its own space. The firm signed a seven-year lease for 160k SF at the Rancho Vista Corporate Center in Rancho Bernardo, which will receive a $12M creative makeover. The landlord, Swift Real Estate Partners, is funding the renovation and spending $6.6M to add a 10k SF café building.

Pacific Building Group, which was selected for the renovation, has tapped Gensler to redesign the space as a collaborative environment. Renovate America staffers are in two office locations, but will be consolidated at the new facility. “We look forward to modernizing the look and function of Renovate America’s new employee-centric campus,” Pacific Building Group president Jim Roherty said.

Pacific Building Group has built or revitalized several corporate headquarters for such companies as Verizon, Qualcomm, Sony, Sharp, General Atomics and Cymer. The firm specializes in the corporate, healthcare, biotechnology and hospitality industries. Renovate America is creator of the new HERO Program, which works with cities and counties to provide new financing solutions to help save energy and water, lower utility bills, reduce emissions, create new jobs and increase property values.
