Upscale furniture retailer Williams-Sonoma is movin' on up to the ground floor. BethesdaNow reports that when two Bethesda Row restaurants—Parker’s and Tara Thai—leave their posts at the end of March, Williams-Sonoma will prepare to take both spots. The housewares retailer is currently operating out of a 2.5k SF lower-level Bethesda Row location. No word yet on when the retailer will be opening, but Federal Realty, the owner of the spaces at 4824 and 4828 Bethesda Ave, received county permits to modify the spaces shortly after word of the restaurants leaving was first reported. Also set to open at the nearby Lot 31 project are Williams-Sonoma brands Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids. [BethesdaNow]
