Whole Foods Brings First DC Location of Cali Burger Joint

It's not quite In-N-Out Burger, but the DC area is finally getting its first location of California chain Habit Burger. Thanks to a Whole Foods anchor in Ashburn, the burger chain is joining the first Loudoun Cava Mezze location and the first DC-area Cooper's Hawk, an Illinois-based winery/restaurant. The Belmont Chase development along Leesburg Pike will see its Whole Foods open in July, and the anchor was the impetus behind the pioneering tenant mix, the Washington Business Journal reports. H&R Retail brokered the deals and used Whole Foods to headline its marketing pitch. It worked, and another Ashburn shopping center will lease up. [WBJ]
