Boston Properties Protests TSA HQ Lease

Boston Properties, one of GSA's largest landlords, is protesting the selection of Victory Center's 5001 Eisenhower Ave (pictured) in Alexandria to be the next TSA HQ. It filed a bid protest with the GAO on Aug. 24, alleging flaws in the selection process. It's rare for a bid protest to cause the GSA to pick a different location; however, it's also unlikely that Boston Properties would protest if it thought it was fighting a losing battle. Victory Center, a JV between JLL and Prudential Real Estate Investors, was awarded the 625k SF lease over Boston Properties, JBG and Vornado. [WBJ]
