Great Gulf
Great Gulf president Christopher Wein was in Calgary last week to present a $500k donation to Sue Tomney, president of the local YWCA, whose site at 320 5th Avenue SE the Toronto-based developer just bought for its first Cowtown project. Great Gulf also offered YWCA a two-year no-cost leaseback for the existing facility, providing YWCA greater stability over the next four years to plan for and develop a new site. Great Gulf will transform the YWCA block and adjacent lands into a mixed-use community that Christopher says will be perfectly situated between the East Village, the financial core and Bow River.
