CRE Women Come Out Swinging

Toronto CREW had its 18th annual Golf Classic last week at Angus Glen Golf Club, with more than 180 hitting the links, including Toronto CREW president Tara Piurko (with McCarthy Tétrault LLP), Great Gulf’s Rose Tam, Forgestone Capital’s Farrah Khimji, and Charlene Schafer, also with McCarthys. Funds raised haven't been tabulated, but the past 17 tournaments generated more than $1M for CREW's community outreach initiatives. CREW national business development manager Tina Wolf tells us golfers could drive one of two "Pimp My Cart" Cadillacs and got free massages. CREW holds its REAL Jobs Day Oct. 15 at Ryerson University. Featuring senior execs working in various commercial real estate fields, the event will give grade 11 and 12 female students the chance to learn about careers in CRE.
