The Penthouse On 50 York Ave. Can Be Bought For A Cool $36M.

Toronto's top 10 most expensive homes for sale include a Yorkville penthouse based on the Palace of Versailles and a Bridle Path bungalow formerly owned by rock star Prince.

Topping the list — researched and compiled by Point2 Homes — is a penthouse at the Four Seasons Private Residences at 50 Yorkville Ave. It is on the market for $36M. Designed as a modern take on Versailles, the four-bedroom, nine-bathroom condo boasts luxury amenities like a home theater, wine cellar and steam room.

Second place went to a mansion at 68 Bridle Path. Set over four landscaped acres, the 10-bedroom, 14-bathroom property includes a tennis court with night lights, a sauna, an in-home fitness center, an elevator and upscale furnishings.

Probably the most iconic feature of the property is the 5K SF pool pavilion featuring retractable floors. When not in use, the pool disappears to make space for lavish dinners for up to 300 guests. The property is listed at $35M.

Prince's former GTA Bridle Path mansion is on the market for $17.88M.

Rock fans may not want to pass up the fifth most expensive GTA home on the market. The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom Bridle Path mansion once owned by Prince is a 14,280 SF bungalow that includes an award-winning pool, a tennis court, a theater room, a fitness center, a beauty salon, a walk-in closet and a seven-car garage.

The home is said to retain some of the late Purple One’s design touches, most visible in the ballroom, billiards room and split-level living room.
