The 2014 Canadian Tenant Survey spoke with 225 real estate decision-makers across Canada. In designing space, cost control, business growth, staff well-being, and team collaboration emerged as key factors. Employees cited a 10-minute walking distance from public transportation as key in choosing a workplace location. “Fifty-nine percent of respondents identified that in their next relocation or renovation they will be adding more collaborative space or common-area space,” Colliers market intelligence analyst Curtis Scott tells us.
