AustralianSuper, a $100B pension fund whose holdings include 75 State St in Boston (above), has picked Bentall Kennedy to be its real estate investment adviser in Canada, with a mandate to pursue CRE investments nationwide. Opportunities include large-scale commercial office properties, regional malls and mixed-use developments in major urban centres. Bentall Kennedy CIO Paul Zemla says investments could involve JV partnerships with Canadian pension funds, private asset owners and Bentall Kennedy's current institutional clients.
