The Port Of Everett Recently Purchased Part Of The Kimberly-Clark Mill Site For $33M.

The Port of Everett recently purchased the 58-acre Kimberly-Clark mill property on the Everett waterfront for $33M, along with another site owned by the company.

The mill was closed in 2012. The city of Everett bought the north portion of the property in July.

The site includes a 360K SF warehouse and 2,500 feet of waterfront that fronts East Waterway. Three-quarters of the property will be used for maritime activities and the rest will be used for aquatic management and public access.

The Everett waterfront is undergoing massive development designed to add restaurants, hotels, public access and housing to the waterfront, which was previously mostly industrial. Last year, the Port of Everett sold a 5.44-acre site within its Waterfront Place Central mixed-use development to SeaLevel Properties, which plans to develop housing units.

Also in the area is The Hotel Indigo, which just opened in August.

Kidder Mathews commercial real estate brokers Dave Speers and Matt Henn, along with Eric Dienstbach of Binswanger, represented Kimberly-Clark in the transaction.
