InfiniPower Hospitality Group wants to build a four-story, 261-room hotel in North San Jose's Alviso area, submitting plans to the city to build the co-branded Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites.
The proposed hotel would sit on 6.7 acres (between America Center Court and the Guadalupe River) that are part of the 70-acre Legacy Terrace/America Center Development area. InfiniPower Hospitality bought the land in 2006, but is moving on the hotel now in response to the proposed commercial and residential development in North San Jose, according to The Registry.
The hotel also would be near Levi's Stadium and Great America theme park. The San Jose planning commission will discuss zoning this month and the city council will discuss the project in March. [TR]
