Kaiser Permanente has submitted a formal application to build a medical office building on a north San Jose site. The company purchased the 9.7-acre parcel at 1717 Technology Dr for about $19M nearly two years ago.
The proposed 153k SF building would have 103 provider offices for three primary and six specialty care modules and surface parking, reports the Silicon Valley Business Journal. Kaiser uses modules, or smaller groups of physicians who can cover for each other when one is not available, to ensure better communication about patient care and a smaller network of physicians a patient might see.
It would be the first north San Jose facility for Kaiser. [SVBJ]
