Concord Shopping Center Readies For Retailers

Concord’s newest retail center, The Veranda, will open its first stores by the end of October. CenterCal Properties is developing the 375K SF retail, entertainment and dining plaza, which will include a Luckey Climber, a climbing structure for kids, as well as a Luxe Cinema by Cinema West, which will feature an IMAX auditorium, electric seats and recliners, full-service in-theater dining, a full bar and a plush lounge. The theater is expected to open in December.

T.J. Maxx, LunchboxWax, SleepNumber and AAA will open by the end of October. Travis Credit Union, Toys R Us and Babies R Us will open in November. The center also will add Puesto, Residual Sugar Wine Bar, Super Duper Burger, MOD Pizza, Cost Plus World Market, City Sports, EMC Seafood and Raw Bar, Mikuni, Popbar and Peet's Coffee & Tea. A Whole Foods 365 store is expected to open Dec. 6.

The Veranda is at 2001-2003 Diamond Blvd. and is next to the 680 freeway.
