Sonoma's Newest Hotel for Wine Lovers

There may be a definite lack of hotel development in the city, but we just caught wind of a new full-service hotel that's moving forward in Sonoma County (attention traveling wine lovers). A 100-room Holiday Inn at 8755 Old Redwood in Windsor was just funded in a deal done by CDC Small Business Finance out of Oakland. The owner, Nick Desai, owns an existing Holiday Inn Express in Windsor (which was also financed by CDC) and is expanding with this next venture. Nick has owned the land for eight years, and CDC provided 85% fixed-rate financing. The $16.9M project will feature an Italian restaurant, full bar and banquet facilities. Estimated completion is spring 2016.
