Irvine Co and Stanford Health Care have teamed up to provide medical care directly inside the 1,308-unit River View Apartment Homes in San Jose. The 2,567 SF Express Care Clinic is in a retail area within the complex. The facility can treat common illnesses and injuries, and clinicians also provide lab services and referrals to advanced care specialists.

Irvine Co Retail Properties president Dave Moore cites residents’ desire for healthcare convenience as the motivating factor for establishing the partnership with Stanford Heath Care. “We are proud to partner with Stanford Health Care, one of the world’s finest healthcare providers, to ensure our customers can easily access their services,” he adds.

Stanford Health Care head of primary care Dr. Sang-ick Chang says, “Modern life is busy and hectic, and convenience and access is really important to people, so offering healthcare to people closer to where they live or work is part of our vision for the future.”

Healthcare and real estate are evolving as patients' tastes and preferences change. Irvine Co also has partnered with Scripps Health in San Diego and St. Joseph Hoag Health in Orange County to bring health and wellness services to some of its other properties.
