Sempra HQ, underway in East Village with a completion date of June '15, topped out late last week as Turner Construction lifted the final steel beam to complete the building’s steel frame. On hand with Sempra and Turner were the developer, Cisterra Partners, and the architect, Carrier Johnson + Culture. Everybody toasted with champagne and signed the pink beam before it was hoisted to the upper reaches of the 16-story office tower overlooking Petco Park.
