Local developer RAF Pacifica Group plans to build a creative industrial campus in San Marcos, says RAF Pacifica principal Adam Robinson (pictured here with his children, Kellan, 7; Reed, 5; and Asher, 9). The company has purchased a 15.85-acre site at the intersection of Bostick Boulevard and Norman Strasse to accommodate the sprawling 212k SF, four-building project, called “pro•duc•tion.”
“As an active developer with over 1M SF of new ground-up product underway in San Diego, we are the first to bring a truly innovative Creative Industrial product to San Marcos,” he says. This model is re-imagining the industrial workplace to deliver a work/play environment unlike other industrial product in the market, Adam says. Pictured below is the exterior of pro•duc•tion.
“San Marcos is a market to watch in the coming year,” Adam says, and the 78-Corridor boasts some of the most innovative tech and manufacturing firms in San Diego County. Home to California State University San Marcos, this market has a highly educated, young workforce and continues to attract a number of startups in need of talent and high-caliber industrial facilities with a corporate headquarters aesthetic, he says. “Based on the city’s entrepreneurial spirit and strong manufacturing economy, we intend to capitalize on the growing demand for quality."
RAF Pacifica is also under construction on two creative industrial projects in Carlsbad. A two-building, 277,400 SF distribution facility complex called dis•trib•ute is underway on 18.4 acres in Carlsbad Raceway Industrial Park. This creative industrial project incorporates a mix of modern creative office and highly functional industrial suites to provide a corporate headquarters aesthetic. It also offers outdoor amenity space for tenants to gather and socialize (pictured). Located at the Carlsbad Oaks North corporate business park, vec•tor, a two-story, 169,100 SF industrial/R&D facility, is designed to accommodate one or two industrial or research tenants.
Colliers International SVPs Mike Erwin and Tucker Hohenstein repped RAF Pacifica Group in the San Marcos land acquisition, and CBRE first VP Adam Molnar and VP Greg Lewis handed the deal for the seller.
