Regent Properties bought Atlas at Carlsbad, 5909 Sea Otter Pl in Carlsbad, for $16M. The former Upper Deck trading card company HQ contains nearly 247k SF. Regent plans to reposition and redevelop the property to allow for single- or multi-tenant office and R&D use. Cassidy Turley's Aric Starck repped the buyer. He and colleague Dennis Visser also repped seller WP Carey.

Bowlus Pacific Venture Corp bought 3.75 acres at Dominion Hill, NE corner of Dominion Ave and Division St in Riverside, from The Thompson Kimmel Co for just under $1.3M. Westcore Realtors' Scott Hooks repped the buyer. Cassidy Turley's Tim Winslow, Jason Kimmel, and Kevin Nolen repped the seller. The Cassidy Turley team also repped Lennar Homes of California in the purchase of 10 acres in Carlsbad, Camino Hills Drive and El Camino Real, from Noboru and Evelyn Tabata for almost $6.3M.

Pathfinder Partners sold The Wellshire, a 12-story, 107-unit apartment community in Denver, to an affiliate of Seagate Properties. Pathfinder and its partner Bruckal Properties bought the former Wellshire Arms Apartments in May 2012 and initiated a $2.5M renovation

Chasra LLC bought a 21k SF retail space in Santee Town Center, 215 Town Center Pkwy in Santee, from MIS Limited for $3.5M. Cassidy Turley's Chad Iafrate repped the buyer. Cushman & Wakefield's John Jennings repped the seller.

LEASING

Broadcast Company of the Americas (BCA Radio) renewed for an additional 10 years at 6160 Cornerstone in Sorrento Mesa. The Saywitz Co's Jeff Saywitz negotiated the 14k-plus SF transaction, which is valued at $3.5M. LBA's John Garrigan repped the landlord, LBA Realty Fund Holding Co.

99-Cent Only Stores leased 17k SF of retail space for 10 years in The Plaza at Imperial Valley, NE corner of Dogwood Road and Danenberg Drive in El Centro. Cassidy Turley repped both sides: Kevin Cassidy for the tenant, and Mike Clark and Joe Yetter for the landlord, an affiliate of The Russ Group.

Rob Singh joined MG Properties Group as managing director and CIO, responsible for overseeing the company’s investment activities and capital relationships. He brings more than 26 years of real estate investment experience totaling $4B in transactions, most recently as SVP at ConAm.
