WESTCORE SCORES AGAIN

San Diego-based Westcore Properties acquired the 673k SF Kato Industrial Park in Fremont, its second major acquisition in less than a month. (The first was Green Hornet, er, Salt Lake Business Center in the City of Industry.) Acquired for nearly $46M from New York Life Investments (formerly McMorgan Co), the four-building complex sits on 42 acres with visibility from I-880. The property is 62% leased to three tenants, and Westcore has plans to bring it to fully leased in a quick timeframe, according to chairman Marc Brutten. The park includes five acres of undeveloped land for expansion.
