Another Condo Cycle?

Polaris Pacific, a Bay Area-based high-density residential sales, marketing and research firm, has launched an expansion in LA area with a geographic scope stretching from San Diego up to Santa Barbara. SVP Johanna Gunther tells us the volume of activity here probably won't reach the levels that it did in the last cycle when, if you'll recall, a lot of condo units were built downtown. But things definitely are heating up. "We get a lot of phone calls on San Diego," she says. In the past year, Polaris has done quite a few feasibility studies on various sites for a number of developers, she adds.
