Lincoln Property's R&D Spree in Carlsbad

Lincoln Property has just acquired for nearly $12M the Carlsbad Corporate Center at 5993 and 5999 Avenida Encinas, a two-building 68k SF office park off Palomar Airport Road and west of the I-5 mainly used for R&D. This is Lincoln's fourth buy in North County in the past year. DTZ's Rick Reeder and Aric Stark brokered the deal.

We first reported that Lincoln was under contract with a then-unnamed R&D center here. Lincoln's Scott Moffatt told us at the time the plan was to modernize the facility to help boost valuation. A few months ago, Lincoln purchased Research Center Plaza, a three-building 81k SF complex off Rutherford Road in Carlsbad.
