Hoffman Construction Plans Own Healthcare Facility

The largest construction company in Oregon, Hoffman Construction, inked a deal with Vera Whole Health to build a healthcare clinic for Hoffman employees. The facility will be the first one in Oregon for Seattle-based Vera, which has completed eight such properties in Washington state and Arizona.

Hoffman employees won't be required to use the clinic, but it will offer a convenient option for their primary care services, and the company believes it will save on healthcare costs, the Portland Business Journal reports. The clinic will also provide behavioral services and health and wellness coaching.

The facility, which doesn’t yet have a location, will occupy about 2k SF near Hoffman HQ at 805 SW Broadway in Portland. It will be able to serve about 3,000 total patients, so it's possible that other Portland businesses might participate. There are about 500 Hoffman employees in Portland and 300 in Seattle. [PBJ]
