The Arizona Republic certainly described it correctly. We were also “shocked” by the closing of some longtime eateries like Espo's Mexican Food and Karsh's Bakery. But of all of them, perhaps the most heartbreaking was Mary Coyle Ol' Fashion Ice Cream Parlor–an icy treat mainstay for generations that shuttered because its lease just got too expensive, she reports.
