Brandywine Leases Property In King Of Prussia For New Office Building

After eight years without any new construction of office buildings in King of Prussia, Brandywine Realty Trust has leased what is planned to be a 111k SF office building at 955 First Ave.

The new development has been leased to Highway to Health, which is expanding past its home at One Radnor Corporate Center, also owned by Brandywine. The building will sit next door to 935 First Ave, the second-most-recently built office space in the area, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. It was finished in 2001; more recently, Equus Capital Partners built at 1000 Continental Place in 2008.

Even as King of Prussia's mall continues to thrive and add vendors, it hasn't had good news in the office sector for years, so Brandywine's deal is a welcome sign. [PBJ]
