The Original Jersey Boys

For over 50 years, Whitesell Construction has been a local builder and manager of industrial and office properties. After riding wave after wave of development cycles, VP James Whitesell says that South Jersey is as competitive as ever. (Ever since Jersey Shore was canceled, everyone's coming back.) That's why we're excited to be holding our 3rd annual Future of South Jersey event on July 24, where you'll her from James and other panelists about the trends driving the market. You can thank its location (within a one-day drive of 130 million consumers) and attractive state incentive packages, he says. (He’s snapped here at LBI, but ask him about the waves in Indonesia if you get a chance.)

Whitesell manages 90 buildings over 9M SF, most of them in Burlington County. The busiest place of late is the Haines Center, conveniently located off of Exit 6A (identifying where you’re from by your Turnpike exit is basically a litmus test for Jersey natives) and featuring an onsite NJ Transit River Line station. Two warehouses totaling 1.1M SF are going up, including a 400k facility for Jersey transplant Destination Maternity, joining a number of other big-box tenants in the park from HD Supply to the Sports Authority. James adds there’s additional build-out potential at Haines for an additional 2M SF.

What’s in demand among industrial tenants: high clear heights, ample loading docks, trailer parking, expansion capability, and significant power for state-of-art racking systems. 400 Richards Run, available for lease, features all of the above plus 30-37’ clear heights, 4000 amps power, and 84 trailer stalls with room for more. James thinks the 510k SF facility, vacated in the wake of Ocean Spray's move to PA, will do well in the long run as supply-chain demand for Class-A modern warehouse product shows no signs of cooling off.
