Philadelphia Warehouse Owner Offers Free Space For Coronavirus Relief

Alliance Partners HSP is offering its newly renovated 130K SF warehouse in Philadelphia’s Roxborough neighborhood rent-free for at least the next two months to nonprofit organizations involved in coronavirus relief.

The 401 Domino Lane property could be made into a coronavirus testing location or a storage location for large quantities of supplies such as masks needed to protect healthcare workers, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Alliance Managing Partner Rich Previdi said the developer is happy to lend a hand during these uncertain times before its tenant, Night Shift Brewing, is scheduled to take over the property. It plans to open a $10M production facility, taproom and distributorship at the end of May.

“The warehouse is near the antenna array just off Ridge Pike and is already divided into two sections with a ‘drive-thru’ area in the middle,” he said in a statement. “Industrial real estate across the country is in high demand, and we happen to have a well-located warehouse that is unoccupied until the end of May.”  

The Inquirer notes that Philadelphia officials have made the city’s Office of Emergency Management aware of the company’s offer.

The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania-based developer hasn’t gotten any takers yet, Alliance Vice President Matt Handel told Bisnow.
