FLYNN'S BOOM

A developer who made a big bet with the Harrah's casino is about to gamble on spec office in rural Pennsylvania. We joined The Flynn Co's Kevin Flynn at his in-house bar to hear how he's been busy with a CRE market in Mansfield—a small town nearly four hours north of Philly. “There's nothing up there. There's no infrastructure at all,” he says. Kevin developed (with two partners) and JV'd Harrah's Chester casino, but he's going smaller here. He just purchased a small office building and is now seeking parcels of land for build-to-suits. The reason: Marcellus Shale. The town has boomed in recent years as companies rapidly open new wells to gather natural gas all over Tioga County.
