SpaceX Leases Space In Irvine

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's SpaceX just signed a five-year lease for a new office in Irvine.

The office is nearly 8k SF in a recently renovated three-story, 42k SF office building near the corner of Jamboree Road and Barranca Parkway.

It looks like it's the third California space for the company, according to the Daily Breeze.

There are also launch facilities at Vandenberg Air Force Base near Lompoc, CA; Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, a rocket facility in McGregor, TX; and offices in Houston and Washington, DC.

SpaceX has had its manufacturing HQ on Crenshaw Boulevard in Hawthorne for eight years, where the company has grown from 450 employees to more than 4,000. A SpaceX office also opened last year in Seattle. [DB]
