Did Elon Musk Just Spark The New Space Age?

Fresh off last week’s unveiling of the Tesla Model 3, today Elon Musk and SpaceX reached a new milestone, launching a rocket and then landing it eight minutes later on an automated drone ship in the Atlantic.
Along with sparking enthusiasm for the final frontier, Musk hopes the landing could be the start of a new era in space—one that includes affordable, reusable rockets. The innovator said as much on Twitter:

“This is the dramatic visual of the new space age,” Marco Caceres, senior analyst at consultant Teal Group in Fairfax, VA, tells Bloomberg. “NASA has been trying to re-create the excitement of the Apollo era. Elon Musk just did it.” [Bloomberg]
